While New Year’s day has already passed us, the thought of a “New Year's Resolution” is still haunting millions of people who have not yet set their yearly goals. There are multiple connotations of this idea that fall everywhere between good and bad. However, a resolution is really just a goal for yourself. It is a decision to either do or not do something. The beauty of this idea is that it is personal. It doesn't have to appeal to anyone but yourself. It doesn’t have any requirements or constraints. It can be as big or small as you would like. However, it gives you an opportunity to keep yourself accountable in pursuit of something better. It could be as simple as reducing the amount of coffee you consume each day, or it could be as big as becoming fit enough to compete in an Iron Man event.
Regardless of the resolution, it allows us to create an idea of a better version of ourselves for whatever the reason may be. As human beings, we should avoid being stagnant and complacent. We can always do better. We can always be better. A resolution is a simple way of attacking that idea day by day. Here at Yellowstone, we would love to be inspired by any and all of your resolutions for the new year that is upon us. Don’t hesitate to reach out and share your goals and ambitions on social media so that you can not only inspire us but our whole community.
We vow to get uncomfortable this year and you should too. Without challenging your comfort zone, you will never level up. Here's to the best version of you in the coming year!
"There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self." -Ernest Hemingway
P.S. Here are some of our team members' 2022 goals:
- Win a triathlon
